Wedding Ring Dish

Have you ever broken a moonstone ring?
I am not into glitzy, blingy jewelry, so for my wedding ring, I am considering a moonstone. It is completely my style… It looks earthy, yet it’s glamourous. However, I’m not so confident that it will last my whole life without breaking or chipping/scratching to the point of ruin. It’s a 6-6.5 on the Mohs Scale, rather than a 10 that a diamond is. My question is, have any of you ever broken a moonstone? If so, how? Should I be worried about ruining it? I can be pretty rough on my stuff. I want to be able to go camping in it and do the dishes with it on. Thank you so much for your feedback, I appreciate it so much!!
No I’ve never broken a moonstone. I can’t say I wear them all the time though, but my class ring was moonstone. Never had problems with it. I also have an opal that I wore for many years (my birthstone) and I loved it even more than my moonstone.
What an interesting idea. I think it depends on the setting too, check with the jeweler when you look and congratulations!
