Before we discuss where people can go to ‘put a ring on it’ we must first understand the significance of what this phrase actually means. When someone refers to the phrase ‘put a ring on it’ they are referring to a person’s finger and they are suggesting that that person should put a ring on their finger.
There are many reasons why people like to ‘put a ring on it’. The first and most obvious reason is for reasons of marriage. People all over the world go searching for many different things and one thing they search for is eternal love. Finding the right person can take a while but when one has found that person they know that they want to spend their rest of their lives with that person. Although some people choose not to get married, marriage is generally the done thing. People therefore tie the knot in matrimony and to do this a ring is necessary.
A wedding ring is normally placed on the left hand and on the finger next to the little finger. Once a wedding ring is placed on a person’s finger it should stay there forever. Sometimes this is not the case as people get divorced but this gives people a new opportunity to find a more suitable partner. This also permits people to choose a new wedding ring once again.
Many people like to do what their role models do so when their role models get married, they follow suit. Some celebrities sometimes go an extra mile and provide good advice within some of their screenplay or a song for example. Recently, BeyonceKnowles released a song called ‘Ladies’ in which she suggested that her fellow ladies should ‘put a ring on it’ or in other words propose to their man or get their man to propose to them so they can also get married. Communications such as these are very important as they send out the right message to fellow listeners.
People do not have to get married to ‘put a ring on it’. Many people like to wear rings as rings are seen as a neat little fashion accessory. There are many different rings people can choose from and these all have various different characteristics such as the colour i.e. gold, silver, platinum etc, the stone type i.e. cubic zirconia, diamond etc, the stone style i.e. cluster, eternity and the brand some of which include Forever Diamonds and Princessa.
There are many places people can go to ‘put a ring on it’ but what is important is that people find the right ring for them and for their partner so they can be happy for eternity!
