Is it cheaper to have a wedding in October?
This was the question that I was asked by a potential client who wanted a discount on the band. Her wedding date had not been set and she was on a low budget for the entire event. Would you expect to pay less for your wedding in October compared to any other month?
I wouldn’t expect much of a discount. October is the end of, but still wedding season.
For business sake, I would cut a bit of a deal, nothing big, because more likely than anything this bride just wants to feel she is getting a deal so she can feel good about cutting costs for her budget wedding. She’s probably also coming from a place where she thinks it doesn’t hurt to ask. If she gets something out of it, she’s won, she’s happy.
