What is a good type/material for a wedding band for a man that works with his hands ie mechanic/soldier?
The strongest gold is 10k gold. However, for a mechanic/soldier, the concern is not the strength of the band, but the safety of wearing it. A ring can get caught on machinery, and can rip off someone’s finger. Someone who works around machinery typically does not wear loose fitting clothing or jewelry, for exactly that reason.
Your other half may decide to keep his wedding band at home, and wear it everywhere but at work. It is not an insult to your marriage, it is a safety precaution.
